A modern house at the foot of the Cassis vineyards.
Far from the flashy villas of the seaside, the architects set this contemporary home under the tall umbrella pines overlooking the Cassis vineyards. On a sloping site, they recreated local stone terraces to form the foundation for a single-storey home.
a breathtaking view of the Cap Canaille cliffs
Designed in a U-shape, the house develops its interior spaces around a central patio open on one side, offering a view of the Cap Canaille cliffs. Daytime living areas overlooking the vineyards on one side face nighttime living areas semi-recessed into the rock on the other, forming two parallel volumes linked by the entrance walkway.
In the middle of the house, a mirrored swimming pool reflects the Provencal nature of Cassis, and the azure skies of this privileged corner of the Bouches du Rhône departement. Here, luxury lies in the intimacy of an exterior jealously guarded from the summer crowds.
If you’re looking for an architect in Cassis to create an exceptional villa that blends seamlessly into the remarkable environment of the Calanques, or to renovate an existing house to enhance its Mediterranean heritage qualities, entrust your project to Vielliard & Francheteau.
